Maison Pierre de Chanvigne - sparkling white wine

Pierre de Chanvigne is a vineyard part of « Gabriel Liogier ». The Gabriel Liogier wines are very representative of the best Rhone Valley appellations. « Purity » and « identity » are the the key words of Maison Gabriel Liogier who offers a wide range of great Rhone Valley and Languedoc wines.
Appellation: Vin Mousseux (South Rhone Valley)
Vineyard: This “cuvée” is produced from wines issued from the best grape varieties selected for their good capacity in bottle fermentation and aromatic suppleness.
Average age of vineyard:  25 years old
Grape varieties: 50% Chardonnay, 50% Ugni Blanc
Vinification: Fermentation at 18-20°C. Second fermentation period is a few months at a temperature of 15-20°C. Devatting in winter.

Tasting Notes: Light in colour with reflections of green.  Sparkling fine bubbles accentuate this wine’s vivacity.  A fine nose of butter and hazelnut gives way to suggestions of brioche and almond on the palate.  Well-balanced and harmonious. As all sparkling wines, this wine is better drunk young, with all its freshness.

To be served with: 8-10°C as an aperitif or with a fruit based dessert.
To be kept: 1-3 years
